Starting the Day with God

When I wake up in the morning, assuming I've had my usual good night's sleep, I am feeling fresh. I look up to the heavens and first say "Good morning" to God, my Father, and thank him for another beautiful day, even on the mornings that are stormy. I then tell Him "I love Him and thank Him for loving me enough to send Jesus, to die for me. Then I thank Him for all I have been blessed with and for meeting my every need. I then proceed with my prayer requests for all of those I promised to pray for. Once I am done, I think of anyone else I want to add, then ask Him to send an angel to keep all of my loved ones safe as they go out and start their day. Sometimes I include "The Lord's Prayer" or other prayers personal to whatever is going on in my life at that time. I recommend doing this on your knees, if possible. This is my routine, how I choose to start each morning. Yours may be a little different. Each of us need to find what works best for us. I've found it's the best way for me to get a positive perspective for the day ahead. I hope your day is awesome!
